I am Maree Stacey, a widow and retired. I became a Director of Wyong RSL Club Limited in June 2009 and I have just been elected for a further 3 years. Currently I am the Treasurer and I have held this position since 2012.
I have been a resident of Wyong Shire for 29 years and I would not wish to live anywhere else. I have three children Robert, Jenny and Rachel and seven grandchildren who also live in Wyong Shire.
Before moving to the Central Coast I lived and worked in Sydney and over my period of employment I held several positions including Accounts Clerk, Payroll Clerk and a Secretary. I worked for Ocean Beach Drycleaners as accounts and payroll clerk when I first came to the coast and then worked for Halley & Mellowes Pty. Ltd at Berkeley Vale for 17 years as the Purchasing Officer with general computer and clerical skills also required and I retired in 1999.
Since retirements I worked for about 12 months as a Volunteer teaching basic computing skills to seniors for the Wesley School for seniors in Wyong until their closure in 2008.
I am a keen lawn bowlers with Wyong RSL Women’s Bowling Club and I enjoy the interaction with the bowlers and the wonderful social aspect of this sport, I am also a foundation member of the Mariners.
